4D Monitoring and Disruptive Technologies at Expo Real: showcasing predictive maintenance
This year at Expo Real in Munich, we will join Disruptive Technologies to showcase how the application of our product can facilitate a predictive approach to M&E maintenance.
With sensors deployed within the central plant, 4D Monitoring provides live performance data that can be leveraged by contractors to proactively monitor assets. At Aviator Park, for example, the M&E provider logs into the 4D Monitoring platform on a daily basis to get remote visibility of HVAC operation. This enables engineers to identify problems early so they can be resolved before tenants arrive on site.
Crucially, 4D Monitoring can be set up to automatically identify when actions are required, so the right person can be mobilised. For instance, if the air conditioning system exceeds a certain temperature, a pump starts to leak, or a filter needs to be changed, the platform will send an alert to the service provider. In effect, 4D Monitoring enables central systems within the building to tell you and your engineers when there is a problem or if an action needs to be taken. This reduces unnecessary engineer call outs, helps to improve asset life-cycles, and facilitates a shift from reactive or planned preventative maintenance to a more efficient, proactive approach.
